About Me:

I'm president of Openworld, Inc., a volunteer network and consulting practice that has worked on sustainable, market-friendly initiatives for private and public sector clients in 56 countries. My current focus is on digital philanthropy as a catalyst for grassroots self-help initiatives, freelance markets for telework, the spread of free economic zones for knowledge industries, land grants and human capital investment strategies for the sustainabiility of local and global good causes, and microscholarship/microvoucher initiatives in economically struggling areas. Earlier in my career, I was publisher and managing editor of Reason magazine, and cofounder of the Local Government Center, springboard for Reason Foundation's privatization practice. I am a graduate of Harvard University and former Visiting Fellow of the Lehrman Institute, where I researched divestiture of municipal services to community associations.
