Profile Information

How did you hear about Open World Café?
Through Joshua Konkankoh and Robert Simpson.
I originally met Joshua at the Global Youth Festival for Food Sovereignty in Nigeria.
About Me:
I am a woman and I have one beautiful daughter, Rose. I am a homeopath with interest and some knowledge of nutrition and trauma therapy.
About my business:
I am one of the many founder members of World Family and am part of the Core Group.
What I want:
My commitment is to Food Sovereignty and the collaboration of people of good will from North and South to ensure that smallholder farmers are rewarded for their contribution to calming climate chaos, enabled to survive and flourish, and supported in their resistance to their land being grabbed by TNCs and large farmers for agrofuels and GM crops.
What I´m doing about it:
I am working in World Family, spreading the word about Food Sovereignty and the importance of smallholder farmers and making connections between people and organisations with complementary goals.
For me, Leadership is . . .
Developing the skills of everyone and making oneself dispensible; leading from the front with courage and from behind with invisibility.
For me, Sustainability is . . .
possible only if we think of ourselves as of equal value with each other and therefore deserving of similar levels of food, water, clean air etc..
For me, Open World Café is . . .
an opportunity to discuss important issues with people all over the world.
My contribution to Open World Café is . . .
to dialogue honestly.
My favourite movie, and my favourite book
Wonderful Life
Shantaram
My passion is . . .
The natural world.
My greatest fear is . . .
GM crops and Agrofuels pushing out the authentically sustainable food production of the smallholder farmers and the result being starvation for many.
