Do the math and make your choice. How do we get this stuff out there? Just like the guy says; "Spread the Word, You can do it! (and if you don't choose, you choose column "B")"

A compelling argument, which makes it a non-issue whether man-caused climate change is real or not. We have to act - NOW!

Excellent! And like you say, the best line is at the end (but it only makes sense if you listen to all the other interesting insights)!

From about 5 minutes in: Robert Sapolsky on "The Uniqueness of Humans". Very interesting, inspiering, entertaining ... and the conclusion is worth waiting for.

I am one of the volonteers to reading it slowly and in parts. It fits well with my own theory, that the human brain is over-evolved for "normal life" with all the sensory inputs, demands, decisions, etc.. that we face. I make many decisions in my p…

In my comment before, I was assuming, that there was already a place for knowledge sharing about earlier permaculture projects. If not, then this seems like a more obvious place to start. A place with the projects catagorized , the challenges and in…

When Christer began talking about permaculture, I looked it up on the web and found David Holmgren's design prinsiples on Wikipedia. While still trying to get my head around this, you introduce the chaordic version, so I was happy to see both the qu…

Jacob, here, here! Well said! You know what this reminds me of? We have these ridiculous commercials here in the states where people need to lower their cholesterol, so they try to do it by eating oatmeal or oat based cereal every day for a month. R…

This is one place of dialogue for a new pilot project for 2010 in the Chaordic PC Institute which has come about from observing various strands of conversations in the wider permacuture network. See web for more info.

I came across the attached article by Walter Jehne “Biology_of_Global_Warming”. I felt that I finally understood what Nichlas Ihren meant when he wrote “This is the reason why I think we are too obsessed with action and visible results. They make us…

For me, Leadership is . . .
Living your life in accordance wíth your life's purpose and inspirering others to do the same.

Finding "zero footprint" solutions for making the world a better place for us all
For me, Open World Café is . . .

My Favourite Quote:
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

----from A Return to Love, by Marianne Williamson.
My favourite movie, and my favourite book
Richard Bach: Jonathan Livingston Seagull
My passion is . . .
Growing

How Does Change Happen? ... a poem by Jennifer Corriero

This is perhaps one of those eternal questions

A call for innovation

Many of the things you do in the name of continuous improvement are the polar opposite to what you need to do if you were committed to continuous innovation”.

The quote is from innovation expert Darrell Mann who held a presentation at the Technical University of Denmark last week, which I was fortunate enough to attend.

So why do focus so much on improvements? In the business world we talk LEAN and Six Sigma … in the environmental discussions we hear the community talking about… Continue

Groundhog Day

When I think of what is possible, and what is not, I am reminded of the movie ”Groundhog Day”.

One of the sub-plots is, that Bill Murray figures out he can learn anything once time is not an issue: being a pianist, and ice sculptor, knowing French poetry, …

The same is true for me!

If I dedicate 1 hour a day for the next 30 years to learn one thing, I can assure you that I will be pretty darn good at it at that time (assuming I live that long, and if I don’t, I won’t be around to regre… Continue

Looks like a good, tool, let's look at some good questions, and offer the option for comments; something like: "How can we be a better community" and/or "What kind of content would you like to see on Open World Café Community (related to sustainability and leadership)"?

Best,

C.
